Frequently Asked Questions

I believe that as a supervisor I wear multiple hats such as a teacher, a counselor, and a consultant. I provide support in a holistic way as I believe in the importance of the counselor’s personal and professional wellbeing - The more we care for ourselves, the better we can serve our clients. I would like for my supervisee to have a work-life balance and sustainable career in the long run. If I have to sum up my supervision style in 3 words, I'd say fun, collaborative, and gentle.

I have worked in multiple settings throughout the course of my career such as partial hospitalization programs/intensive outpatient programs (PHP/IOP), non-profit organizations, and private practices, and loved every part of it. I find myself enjoy working with high acuity clients (clients who have self-harm thoughts/tendencies) and clients who have gone through traumatic incidents (specifically in sexual trauma) from ages 12 and up. I also like helping couples in marriages/dating relationships navigate through different seasons of their lives. I am also passionate about providing care to immigrants and minorities as I understand the need for compassionate care within the minority groups.

I enjoy using a combination of CBT, TF-CBT, EMDR, IFS, Gottman, and person centered approaches. I meet my clients where they're at while in session. I would say I am generally very goal-oriented and direct with my clients.

Individual Supervision: $80

Group Supervision: $65

BHEC states that LPC-Associates are to meet the minimum requirement of 4 hours each month of supervision and group supervision cannot make up more than 50% of your total monthly supervision time.

Individual supervision is a one-on-one or dyad (two associates) meeting while group supervision is when there are 3 or more associates in one meeting. Individual and dyad supervision lasts for 1 hour while group supervision is 1.5 hours long.
